There is some really helpful stuff in here that introduces the vagus system, and polyvagal theory. Lots of therapists (including me) use polyvagal theory as a kind of backbone for our work with clients, and ourselves. The book includes a program that is suggested to help ‘reset’ your vagus system. There are some cool exercises and activities and the program is evidence based. Lots of good stuff and heaps of regulating practices to explore. I reckon you could have this handy to support yourself on a day to day basis, even if you don’t feel inclined to use the whole program consistently.
